Beach Programs
Participants can come down to the beach for the day or half day and be actively involved in a number of physical activities, as well as learning about beach safety.
Fun physical activities include using the equipment that lifesavers use like nipper boards (long rescue boards) body boards (smaller boards), life jackets, rescue ropes and belts and beach running relays. It’s a lot of fun and all ‘wet’ activities can be done in very shallow water (shin or knee deep) for people who are not confident in water or cannot swim at all.
Groups usually combine these sessions with lunch on the beach or in one of the lifesaving clubs. Even games like beach soccer, beach volleyball or beach cricket can be combined with the beach program to make it more fun!
